Writing for engineers
Six weeks on RFCs, design docs, runbooks and postmortems that people read to the end.
6 weeks, live
Mondays and Thursdays, 6:00 pm ET
40 seats per cohort
Engineers and engineering managers

Owen teaches with your team's real documents. You rewrite an RFC, a runbook and a postmortem, with review comments that read like a good code review.
The final week is a docs review with your group, and you leave with templates your team can adopt the next Monday.
What you will be able to do
RFCs that get approved in one round
Runbooks that work at 3 am
Postmortems without blame or filler
Templates for your team's docs
The next cohort of Writing that gets read starts October 20
Forty seats, a group of six, line edits on every draft. Applications take five minutes and most students expense it.
Live cohort courses in writing and speaking for people who do it at work. Small groups, line edits, six weeks at a time.
Taught live from Chicago, Austin, Portland and Seattle
