Writing that gets read
Six weeks of short drafts and line edits for people who write at work: emails, docs, updates and memos.
6 weeks, live
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:00 pm ET
40 seats per cohort
Anyone who writes at work

This is our flagship course. Over six weeks you write one short piece every week, get line edits from Ruth and comments from a group of six, and finish by publishing one piece at work or in public.
Each week has two live sessions of 60 to 75 minutes, one assignment that takes about three hours, and a group read-through on Friday. Every session is recorded within two hours.
What you will be able to do
Know your reader and what they need from you
Lead with the ask in every email and doc
Write one idea per paragraph
Cut a draft by a third without losing a fact
Structure long docs for people who skim
Publish one finished piece
The next cohort of Writing that gets read starts October 20
Forty seats, a group of six, line edits on every draft. Applications take five minutes and most students expense it.
